October 2025 marked an exciting new chapter for A Better Tomorrow with the launch of our Calm Café partnership and over 200 volunteering hours completed by our dedicated clients.
This month saw the start of our new Calm Café in partnership with Telford Mind and Telford and Wrekin Council. Tim has been doing an excellent job of raising awareness of the new initiative, as the pictures below!

"It is great that ABT are able to be a part of the much-needed provision of a calm cafe for 18–25-year-olds. With ABT already playing a large part in the dual diagnosis cc, we will bring our expertise and experience to this new provision. Working alongside Telford Mind, T&W and adult social care I can only see this being a successful addition to the existing calm cafes."
Scott, CEO, ABT
The number of volunteer hours surpassed 200! Volunteering is a huge part of the programme here at ABT. We were thrilled that 55% of clients volunteering offered over 20 hours of service. Thank you!
"We have had an exceptionally productive month with over 200 hours of volunteering. We are grateful for your invaluable contributions, which have been essential to our work. Keep being amazing, team!"
Martin, Coo, ABT
Our programme activities continued to be well attended, with both badminton and cooking seeing increased attendance. Badminton is a firm favourite at ABT, and the competition is stiff. It would be great to get some local teams to come and compete against the mighty ABT players!

The month ended on Halloween with our spooktacular event, and it was a real celebration. Staff, clients and volunteers worked together to create fantastic decorations, with the baking group serving up some slithery treats and a delicious buffet. Thank you to everyone who joined us. Here are a few pictures:
