Making the difference
A Better Tomorrow Charity was formed in September 2024 (Registered Charity Number 08828406) and is part of the ABT family, working to develop and deliver programmes, activities, education and training to support ABT clients and the wider community on their journey to living fulfilled and meaningful lives.
A Better Tomorrow Charity works closely with A Better Tomorrow CIC, a peer-led organisation that offers supported accommodation and programmes to men and women who have been affected by drug or alcohol addiction, mental ill-health, homelessness or domestic abuse.

Through the work of A Better Tomorrow CIC, which was founded in 2014, it became evident that there is a need to enhance the offering to support people in maintaining their abstinence from illicit drugs and alcohol, after becoming homeless or fleeing domestic abuse or with their mental health, as well as raising greater awareness in the wider community of the of the challenges people face.
1.
Psychosocial interventions, consisting of 1-2-1 and group sessions, to help support recovery and rehabilitation
2.
Training and education to develop skills and create employability opportunities
3.
Health education programmes focused on addiction and mental health.
As an independent charity, we are led by our Board of Trustees, who are responsible for the management and governance of A Better Tomorrow Charity. Our trustees have a diverse range of backgrounds and experience and bring with them essential skills.

As one of the founders of A Better Tomorrow CIC, Paul has worked tirelessly to champion people in recovery for the over ten years. His own journey with addiction led to a new career within detox units and then to setting up ABT as a way to create a more holistic, people centred and peer-led approach to recovery. The tenacity required in getting the first house opened is a testament to Paul’s passion and energy and has provided the momentum to push the organisation forward to where they are now.
