We are delighted to share that A Better Tomorrow has received a generous £1,250 donation from the Wynn Foundation to support our growing transport needs.
Since Viki, our Education and Skills Manager, joined the charity, we have been busy developing our volunteer roles and work experience opportunities. We want to reach further afield so we can meet the needs of all our clients.
This funding makes that possible. Opportunities such as volunteering at The Cavalier Centre, dog walking at Hilbrea and roles with the National Trust will now be within reach for more of the people we support. For many of our clients, getting there is the biggest barrier. This gift helps us remove it.
Scott Morgan, CEO said: “Every person who comes through our door has something to offer. Sometimes they just need the chance to find out what that is.
Volunteering gives people routine, purpose and a reason to get up in the morning. It builds confidence and it opens doors.
The Wynn Foundation has helped us take those opportunities further. We are so grateful for their support and their belief in our clients.”
Viki and the Team Leads have already been building strong links with local organisations, and we can’t wait to see clients starting new opportunities in the coming month.
