Following the success of our sponsored walk, we’re looking for experienced walk guides to help us take the next step.
Our recent sponsored walk was a brilliant day. People came together, pushed themselves, the energy on the day was very positive. We saw first-hand how much good getting out and walking can do, so we don’t want it to stop there!
At A Better Tomorrow, we’re building our programme of education, activities and support. Walking is a natural fit.
Getting outdoors can lift mood, ease stress and help people feel stronger in body and mind. Walking in a group adds something more. Conversations flow more easily. Friendships form. People who might find a room full of strangers daunting often feel more at ease walking alongside someone.
For many of our clients, it’s a chance to try something new, build confidence and enjoy the fresh air in good company.
We’d love to hear from experienced walkers who would be happy to lead groups of clients and staff. Walks will take place in and around Telford and sometimes further afield, where transport allows.
You might be a seasoned rambler, a keen hill walker or someone who knows the local routes like the back of your hand and have a qualification to match!
If this sounds like you, we’d love to chat. When you get in touch, it would help to know:
There’s no pressure to commit to a lot. Every walk makes a difference.
To find out more or register your interest, please email our Education and Skills Manager, Viki at viki@abtgroup.org.uk.
And if you know someone who loves to walk, please pass this on. They could help someone take an important step on their recovery journey.
A Better Tomorrow is client-focused. We strive to help as many people as possible. With your support, we can provide even more care and guidance to vulnerable individuals in our community.
