We are very pleased to announce the partnership between Triangle HR and A Better Tomorrow.

Whilst the two organisations might seem worlds apart in what they deliver, ultimately both organisations share a dedication and commitment to helping individuals succeed.

After witnessing what impact addition can create in the workplace, and supporting ABT with HR services, Triangle HR reached out to ABT to understand what they could bring to help equip those in recovery with the skills needed to re-enter the workplace.

Boosting confidence and empowerment

For many individuals, overcoming addiction and other personal challenges can feel insurmountable without the right support and guidance.

ABT provides this support, enabling clients to take the first step towards positive change and empowering them to continue their journey. Working with Triangle HR opens up another way that the team can empower those that have chosen to transform their lives.

Triangle HR aim to provide ABT clients with essential, hands-on guidance in re-entering the workforce, including CV writing, interview skills, and employability training helping to build up the confidence of clients ready to take their next steps.

The partnership allows for the exchange of skills, knowledge, and expertise to benefit both organisations and their clients, helping to break down stigmas and opening up conversations across wider networks.

Breaking Barriers – Empowering Employers to Tackle Workplace Addiction

Many businesses across Telford & Wrekin and Shropshire are unaware of the impact that drug and alcohol addiction has on their staff, however in England there are an estimated 602,391 dependent drinkers with only 18% receiving treatment.

Join us for an engaging and interactive half-day workshop designed to equip employers and managers with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to recognise, address, and support addiction in the workplace.

When? Thursday 10th April – 09:30am-1:00pm

Where? The Snug, Weston Park

Addiction is an issue that nearly everyone has some experience with, if not personally then through a friend or family members. It’s imperative that all employers are aware of the issues and considerations surrounding this topic.

At this workshop, Triangle HR will be joined by Scott Morgan and Martin Cantrill, the CEO & COO of A Better Tomorrow.

This fantastic opportunity to hear from those with ‘lived experience’ to understand the true impact of addiction on our lives, society, and the world of work, and to understand how everyone (including employers) can help shape a path to a better future through recovery.

Through real-world case studies, expert-led discussions, and insightful activities, participants will:

  • Identify early warning signs of substance use and addictive behaviours in employees.
  • Learn effective intervention strategies to address concerns with empathy and professionalism.
  • Understand legal and ethical considerations when handling addiction-related workplace challenges.
  • Explore best practices for fostering a supportive culture such as reducing stigma around recovery and promoting recovery-friendly policies.

This dynamic session isn’t just about policies—it’s about creating a healthier, more resilient workplace where employees feel safe, supported, and empowered to seek help.

Who Should Attend? HR professionals, managers, business owners, team leaders and mental health first aiders.
Format: Interactive discussions, hands-on exercises, and expert guidance.

Don’t miss this opportunity to transform your workplace into a space of awareness, support, and positive change!

Limited spaces are available for this workshop. Book your place today.
